Who we are

Town & Beyond runs this guide for Wetherby & Villages. To ask about your information, email hello@townandbeyond.com.

What you can send us

You only give us information if you choose to use a form.

An event form asks for the event name, date, venue and a link to your page. You can also add a time, village, postcode, price and a short description. Your name and email are optional. If we publish the event, the public page can show those event details. It does not show your email or your name.

A tip is the message you type, the page you were on, and your email if you want a reply. A town request is the town name, and a postcode or email if you add them. Tips and town requests are not published on the guide.

With each form we store the IP address it came from, so we can limit spam. The event form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person sent it. Cloudflare receives that check, including the IP address. Their privacy notice is on cloudflare.com (opens in new tab).

We do not keep a record of ordinary visits. We do not use an ad network, and we do not sell data.

If you dismiss a notice, your browser remembers that until you close the tab. We do not receive it.

Why

We use what you send so we can read it, reply if you left an email, and publish an event you asked us to list. We use the IP address for a short time because we have a legitimate interest in blocking spam. You can object to that. Email us.

How long

We keep the message so we can deal with it. Ask us if you want it deleted. We clear the IP address after 30 days. That clear-out runs the next time someone sends a form, so it can be a little later than 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to how we use it. Email hello@townandbeyond.com.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in new tab).

Who helps us

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the forms for us. We do not pass your details to advertisers.
